Eduardo J. Alarcon is a distinguished Business Broker and M&A Advisor, holding the prestigious Certified Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor (CM&AA) designation from the Alliance of M&A Advisors. Registered with the IBBA and AM&AA, Eduardo brings extensive expertise in deal sourcing, due diligence, financial analysis, negotiations, deal structuring, and closing transactions. His strategic acumen extends beyond the deal, with a strong focus on planning and implementing growth and value-adding strategies that are crucial during the post-acquisition phase. In the M&A space, Eduardo has worked across various sectors, including manufacturing, chemicals, agri-chem, food production and distribution, logistics, services, distribution, seafood, nurseries, and more.
With over 20 years of professional experience, Eduardo has successfully closed more than $450 million in transactions globally. His career spans diverse sectors, including Technology, Medical, and Consulting Services, where he has consistently demonstrated his proficiency in deal-making, marketing, global distribution, and strategic & change management.
Eduardo’s corporate career is marked by his tenure as Director of Business Development and Vice-President of Global Sales for several multinational corporations. In these roles, he negotiated multi-million-dollar distribution contracts and spearheaded the global launch of innovative technologies, including the VeriChip, the world’s first human implantable RFID microchip and identification platform.
As an entrepreneur, Eduardo has founded and co-founded several successful ventures across the US and Latin America. Notable ventures include Larcons Recruitment & Consulting, StartupsAgency, KarmaBucks, Cause Populi, and Extracorp. His entrepreneurial journey began in the early 90s in Latin America, where he established a strong foothold in the agro-export and technology sectors.
Eduardo also serves as an advisor for different startups, where he leverages his extensive experience in raising capital, scaling, operations, acquisitions, and strategic management. Eduardo has also volunteered for SCORE as a mentor and consultant for established businesses and startups in different industries.
Eduardo holds an MBA from Babson College, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & Finance from The American University in Washington, DC.
